Return Policy

Our goal is one stable home for life. If something serious goes wrong, here is exactly how it is handled.

Animal welfare first

A policy written around the puppy

A puppy is a living animal, not a product. Every return, rehoming or guarantee claim is handled case by case, with documentation, and with the puppy's welfare as the deciding factor.

Health-related returns

These are covered by our health guarantee. If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses an underlying illness or serious congenital defect within seven days of arrival, a covered hereditary condition at any point in the puppy's life, or a communicable disease within fourteen days, contact us immediately with the veterinary documentation. The refund or replacement terms are set out in full in the sales agreement.

Deposits

The $400 pickup deposit is non-refundable. It holds your puppy and takes them off the available list, which is why it cannot be returned if you change your mind. The remaining balance is due at pickup.

If your circumstances change

Life changes. If you can no longer keep your Doberman — whether that is in six months or six years — contact us first. We would far rather help you find a responsible solution than have one of our dogs end up in a shelter or with someone who wants it for the wrong reasons.

What a return does not cover

  • Changes of mind about colour, sex, markings or ear carriage
  • Normal puppy and adolescent behaviour such as chewing, barking, digging, mouthing or house training setbacks
  • Behavioural problems arising from inadequate exercise, training or socialisation
  • Injury or illness caused by inadequate care, including joint damage from over-exercising a growing puppy
  • Conditions diagnosed outside the time windows in the health guarantee
